THE GYM

Our large gym boasts the latest in high tech gym resistance machines. Our fully functional workout area has ample space for you to move about freely during your workouts.

Our gym is a buzzing, non-intimidating environment in which to work out. We have highly qualified, friendly staff always on hand to help you get the most from your sessions. Inductions and personalised programs are available on request, this is where one of our team can take you round the gym and make sure you feel happy with how you use the machines and get the most out of them.

 

We regularly run events in the gym including specific gym challenges that members of all ages and levels can take part in. The challenges are a great way for members to mix things up and keep them motivated. At Hove Fitness & Squash we love being able to help you to get the most from your workouts. Member Of The Month , this is something our Trainers decide, they pick a member who they believe has done particularly well that month , whether that is training hard in the gym to a specific goal they might have completed. We award the member which a prize for their achievement.

 

Our team regularly create challenges for our members to enjoy and our highly qualified instructors are always on hand to help you with your fitness journey. You can book an induction free of charge with one of our team.

Our equipment includes:

Cardio – 8 incline treadmills, 4 Cyber Arc trainers, 3 Lifetime cross-trainers, 2 matrix stair climbers, 4 upright Matrix virtual bikes, 2 Lifetime recumbent bikes, hand bike and 6 Concept 2 rowing machines.

Resistance machines – Plate loaded leg press, plate loaded squat rack, Smith machine, Techno gym, Lat pulldown, pulley, tricep machine, arm curl, peck deck, chest press, shoulder press, adductor, abductor, leg press, knee extension, leg curl, multi station pulley and 2 dual action pulley’s.

Free weights – Dumbells range from 1kg -55kg and fixed barbells 5kg – 45kg.

FiiTZone Area (based in the gym) – Assault Bike, Concept 2 SKIerg, Concept 2 rowers, 2 assault runners, plyo boxes, barbells and dumbells, kettlebells 4kg – 32kg, battle ropes, bosu, medicine balls, stability balls and boxing bags.

What is FiiTZone

FiiTZone is new to Hove Fitness & Squash. This is a gym based class in its own area. Our newly layed floor is perfect for these functional gym circuits. Members might be asked to burn a specific amount of calories of a cardio machine then go into a circuit using gym toys battle ropes, med balls kettle bells etc. The Personal Trainer will plan a session and will have adaptations based on your level. We limit the numbers to max of 10 to give you the best experience. So classes are also ideal to find out how to use certain pieces of kit such as the bosu. Classes are 45 mins long and run up to 4 times a day.

 

My Zone

We have MyZone screens in the gym , MyZone belts (which can be purchased from the club) are linked to the screens and monitor your effort levels in the gym. They are a great way of getting more from your workout and also a good way of letting the instructor know if you can do a bit more.

Personal training

We have a high qualified team of Personal Trainers who will ensure that you get the results that you are after. They will motivate and make training fun whilst making you accountable.
